Some devout Catholics may protest the inclusion of the above link on the basis that the SSPX is allegedly in schism with Rome. Of course this Web site does not have the authority to judge such matters. We would, however, make the following observations. Given that it is currently the plight of English-speaking Western Catholics to have to be constantly vigilant when reading or listening to the output of every single contemporary priest and prelate1, whether or not his canonical regularity has been publicly called into question, it is suggested that those same Catholics are more than capable of exercising the same caution when reading materials produced by the SSPX. That said, it is hoped that the apparent ambition of the Society to be logically consistent in the exposition of its views may make it a valuable modern source of information for busy laymen and women who have otherwise been exclusively subjected to the outflanking manoeuvre of “relativistic” preaching.
